Being A Teenager
The teen years, they’re the best
Living in the here and the today, not the tomorrow or the yesterday.
The word “no” wasn’t in or near your vocabulary.
Starting to understand what life is all about,
But not quite comprehending it.
Driving to the mall or just having a good ole’ sleepover
There was always something to do.
Babysitting was the only job available
Nothing seemed impossible.
Magic was real.
Life was a game of truth or dare.
Being a teen was the best, until that day when you woke up and realized
Life was more than just a game.
