Ode to Basketball
March 2, 2010
This game is very intense
It takes up an immense part of my life
Words don’t describe the passion I have for this sport
Rip your heart out and throw it on the floor
Then walk out the door
Never back down till the very end
Drive to the basket with all your might
Practice ever single night
When in doubt dribble out
Walk into the gym
And the smell of sweat gives you a big hug
This sport is addicting as a drug
While you play
Everything else goes away
Sprinting up and down the court
Basketball is my favorite sport
