Music plays in my ears as I type
I sing as I tell
I study as I know I should
My life swirls around me as if I stand still
I feel as if my life has left me
and spirit and fantasy are my company
I sigh as I speak words
and cheer as I think thoughts
but as I cry when we are together
I smile when we are together

You leave, I stay
We keep each other close
Poems and songs swirl my mind
Fame temps me
but my life temps me more
I scream as I compare and
tell as I want
Lying does not subdue me. . .much
I live as I think I should
and cry when I think I should
My life doesn't go as planned
but I do what I believe
