The open window from the closed world
The crazy thoughts from the sane girl
The gusting winds after the calm storm
The frosted windows that were once warm
The snow blows from the still roof
The vision blurry from the clear truth
The house whispers as the skies scream
The girl sleeps, but can never dream
The blinds are open and the door is closed
The red lights flash and nobody knows
The streets are plowed and the snow is piled
The night is silent, but is heard for miles.

One night I sat on my bed and stared out the window at the snow storm. I wrote down everything that I noticed. I really would like feedback because I might enter this into a poem contest!
