My cat Angel
There she was
On a warm summer day,
Looking scared and small
In that cardboard box.
I was looking down staring,
With my hand over my mouth.
My mom was looking,
And my dad was wondering what was in that box
When a cat jumped out.
She started smelling the ground beneath her.
I picked her up, but she wanted down.
I think because she wanted to smell around.
She’s my cat, so dear to me.
She’s my best friend.
Her name is Angel.
