There’s always a beginning
There’s always an end
Much like an hourglass’s sand
In a far off country
In a far off land
People beg
To begin again
They run and flee
All those who are free
So they can walk
Across the sea
Just so they can live
The American dream

The author's comments:
The theme I chose was the American Dream and the way my poem works with that is it tells about how other countries wish to be free from dictators, war, and poverty. It tells how people from other countries find any way to live here and experience how we live our lives.
