Toe Dancing and Butterfly Kisses

I watch you,
wide eyed and curious,
anticipating your next move.
I run to you,
arms wide open,
grinning ear to ear.
I lean toward you,
butterfly kisses,
fluttering from my eyelashes.
I laugh at you,
stepping on your shoes,
dancing while your feet move us.
Across,
Down,
Side to Side.
I watch your blue eyes shine.
Flashback is over,
and I look at your face.
Your wrinkles from all those laughs,
the same shimmer in your eyes.
I know my Daddy will always be there,
no matter how old I grow.
