lacrosse
The field emerges and the sun shown through the trees
I walk up the hill to my first lacrosse game
I get closer and closer
I can see the white lines sprayed on the grass
I am scared, excited, and nervous
My heart starts to pump faster and faster
I get closer and closer
The dew on the grass splashes my ankles
My cleats leave imprints in the moist ground
Now I am ready to play
