I want friends to surround me,
Love that confounds me,
And troubles abounding, to just let me go

The storms, they are raging,
As all life is changing,
I find it amazing that it can't all just stay.

And people, they falter;
They can't seem to alter,
Our paths go apart, and halt all that I knew.

Why can't it just stay there
With no worries and no cares?
I wanted to be where it all was ok.

But leaving that place now,
I hear Your voice say how
I can get through now, and get to the end;

Accept change and move on,
Keep what I knew and
Be open to learning what there is to know.

For we all must go
Where none of us know:
Out of comfort's warm glow, and into the dark.

But God will be with us,
He'll never forsake us,
And with that assurance, I know that He cares.

There's nothing to worry,
Nothing to carry
As burdens that most of us bury in fright.

We can stand up and face this,
This change and embrace it,
For God will be with us, and He'll be our might.
