I Mean It. Do You?

Everyday your protecting embrace envelops me,
But if danger came would you protect me?
Everyday you talk of your of me,
But if I changed would you love me still?
Everyday you say we are friends,
But if I needed help would you be there?
When I embrace you,
It means I’ll protect you from harm no matter the cost.
When I say I love you,
It means I will stand by you and whoever you become.
When I say we are friends,
It means no matter where I am I will come to you.
So next time you say you love me, we are friends, or hug me,
Don’t bother unless you truly mean it.
