"It was night, and the rain fell; and falling, it was rain, but, having fallen, it was blood" ~ Silence - A Fable by Edgar Allan Poe

Cerulean skies and emerald valleys turn gray
As clouds steal the color of the land
Deafening booms follow flashes of light
As droplets of glass start to fall

Under a solitary tree Ceres silently cried
As Erebus embraced her in his arms
Running his fingers through her ebony hair
Gazing lovingly into her charcoal eyes

Shadows begin to disappear over the landscape
As their pale lips slowly come together
The fire of their passionate kiss
Cooled only by the rain’s icy touch

As they kissed time stood completely still
Only the rain fell upon their cheeks
Fluttering hearts and mended souls became one
Preserving the blissful moment for eternity

I love your depiction a rain and your pairing of Ceres and Erebus is interesting, but I like the contrast!

Wonderful!
