"If music be the food of love, play on" - Shakespeare

I see the paper, but I can’t read the words,
I feel you move, but I have yet to see your face,
I’m caught in a fog, momentarily paralyzed,

The only thing I see is his face, his smile,
His eyes,
Sparkling, as he speaks to me,
His voice is all I hear,

Their hands lightly brush my skin, I do not feel them,
Her words enter my head, I cannot understand them,
His face is all I see, his preachings clog my brain,

I hear their whispering behind me,
“She’s tired...that’s what it is...”
I chuckle darkly to him,
Invisibly, imaginarily beside me,

Shining, shimmering, gleaming,
Who I want is there in the distance,
I see him, clearly,
But I have to get past thorns and blades to grasp him,

I find myself in a blank room,
I am alone, again,
My fears escape me, my thoughts take over my emotions,
I kneel to them, give myself to them,
But I can only feel him
