Winter Morning
Dark skies cover the earth
Thinking that I woke up too late
Rushing to get everything ready Skipping breakfast, taking gatorade
Not even thinking about school
I hop in the car that picks me up
The music playing relaxes us
As we get ready, we think
Others are still sleeping
While we are getting better
When we arrive at the place
Are teammates are waiting for us
Now, as we all stand there waiting
For the Birdman to give us the green light
Standing at the door that sets us free
If only you can see
The moment he says yes
Is the moment we let everything go
