As I Look Up...

We will soon forget what we once remembered...
And never remember what we have all forgotten..

As we lay here on what we used to call the past
Making it hard to dwell on what we knew would never last

Let us reach upon what we used to call beauty
And take hold of what we all left behind

As I look up to a dull grey sky
I look down to what I once passed by

Rising to the stars which were never that bright
Making its mark on its own constellation

The sounds of time going down this drain
Losing what we once had to gain

Holding hands with the idea of forever
Broken with the cry of pain

As I look towards what I know to be true
I look behind at this innocence I once knew

Let us breathe in these last breaths we share
Soon to suffocate on our own misery

Very interesting. I like that you broke up your lines. And I won't forget to rate.
