Splendid Imperfection
An apple tree in an orchard
Supported not by stick or string
Appears twisted, yet unscarred
But proud with grandeur as a king
Its beauty is not a copy
Not shaped by an unnatural force
This independent tree
Goes along on its own course
Another might look better
But they are all the same
All dependent on some other
Anyone can be this way
The most memorable beauty
Is one that comes on its own
Imperfection is not a flaw
But rather a beauty unknown
