Forever
When he broke my heart is the day my dad left
he didnt say goodbye he just jumped up and went
today it remains the same, the same thing over
each day my dad leaves everyday never taking the
damn time to say goodbye or hug me
I remember his grin, the snaggle-toothed one
his breath smelling like beer and old cigarettes
that old music beat, going along with his heartbeat
the unbuttoned shirt that belong to gramps I never
met him but I know he's there he knows what right
and wanted to kill my dad for leaving me behind and
never caring, forever with love my gramps save me
but he lost his life for me and this goes to him my love
goes to you and grandma too forever remain in the
heart I never feel because my dad has taken that too
so has that boy who ever he may be but you're still me
