Temporary Rush
I put the blade to my wrist
Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath
The pain leaves as soon as my blood meets the air
Blood flows through my veins fresh and relieved
As the rush fades, the pain is back
The feeling was only temporary
The scar will remain forever
The power and relief are gone too soon
The guilt and shame settle in
Judgements rise
Acceptance, harder to find
The pain come back to the surface
The blade does too
