It Didn't Kill Me
I was in a car accident but it didn't kill me
I was hit by a car on foot and was in a coma for six days
I had to learn to walk again
And it didn't kill me
I had a broken heart and
Took it out on my skin
Waiting for the cuts to show up
The blood to surface
That didn't kill me
You know about me
Facing the sun
Sitting on the rooftop
It was risky
But... it didn't kill me
It seemed impossible that
I would make it
Because brokenness is
Actually a good thing
We must be amazing to be given
This responsibility of heartbreak
It won't kill you
It didn't kill me.
