dependent on me

i look at the sheet,
perplexed by the new digits.
i've been trying for hours now
to succeed.
i stuff the paper in my bag
when i see my bus drifting
in my window and i RUN.
i get to my class of six
and ask "who finished?"
and i discover all eyes are on me
because everyone was hoping
they could copy off of me.
crap.
