Untitled
The blood on my face
Falling fast and I’m dizzy.
Learning is an experience.
Some lessons are not easy.
Father teaches me
Throws a bottle at my head.
Sometimes I pray to God
please strike me dead.
The man that holds my hands
While he pushes me down
Says he’s teaching me a lesson
A muffled cry breaks my frown.
What am I to learn
Through a brutal beating?
Don’t touch the remote
Or Daddy hits you ‘til you’re bleeding.
