They are the ones who tell us goodbye,
when we are dropped off at school.
They are the ones who tell us goodnight,
before we go to bed.
The ones that tuck us in,
the ones that are there till the end.
They care for us with all their love,
they tend to us when were in need.
They may ground us but it is for our own good,
we may the them at times but they still love us.
Our parents are unique but they all have something in common,
they care for us and love us,
they would die for us if they had to.
Parents are the chosen ones to show us the right way,
because one day we will be like them,
with families of our own.
