Without You
I know I never had a hold on you.
You never belonged to me
But my heart still broke when I sat here
and watched you walk away.
That was then but this is my now
I'm still broken, but i'm not sure how
to get up, walk forward
greet a new day, without you.
I've been painting on this smile for oh so long,
I'm known for it now.
I'm that girl who's always happy, she's always tough
She's a fighter, she'll stand through it all.
Nothing's gonna bring her down.
The funny thing is, it all brings me down...
But that was then, and this is my now
I'm still broken, but i'm learning how
to stand on my own two feet, walk forward
greet each new day, with, or without, you.
