War Never Changes
February 16, 2010
Through the history of the world,
Swords struck shields and spears were hurled,
Many have fought and many have died,
Among the horrible, bloody tide.
And before the time of spears and shields,
Before the rows of bloody fields,
Were sharpened sticks and a jagged rock,
Ever since we have learned to walk
War was the same, no matter when,
It happens now and it will again,
It happens to us, it will for our kin,
War claims life with an evil grin.
We try to stop it with all our might,
But no one can ever stop the fight,
The time between, it always ranges,
But War…
War never changes.

oh wait i just reread that and I was wrong... never mind. i think i thought that it didnt flow cuz i read it too fast

very good and true. i get so angry when political figures are like, "yah, ima go and make peace! and then im gonna stop all the wars!" And i think are you a reincarnated god or something? because if you're not.. well then i dont think you're goin to get much progress. but yeah, haha the comment sounded wierd.. *deep breath* im a bit opinionated!SIMON COWELL CRITIQUE: it didnt flow very well in the second paragraph: "And before the time of spears and shields, before the rows of bloody fields.." the amount of syllables wasnt equvilant.. take out "and" and it will be. over all very good.

i really enjoyed that. and it rings a certain truth. i just joined today and hope that when my poems get accepted to the website people will check them out.
