Its my Heart but I have No Soul

I am sitting on the edge of Darkness.
Seeing the pain like waves of heat.
Cheating my life as I struggle to gain oxygen again
Feel my heart still beating with no soul to keep up with the fight.

No soul to keep me whole,
No wish to see myself happy.
No hope to fight the will to live.
No soul to keep up with the fight

Why is life given to a man whose way is hid?
Why is life given to those who long for death?
Why is the love given to those whose heart is broken in two?
The heart is broken with no one to love,

No soul belongs to me any more.
I gave it away to the heart of gold.
Flowing over my hope in my own hold
Sitting in tears and my soul slips away

I have no soul to keep up with the fight
As I struggle to win, the battle gets harder
My heart beats on with wondering ambition
How can life be here, without a soul to lead it.

I am a ghost in a live human body.
Living in some one else’s dreams
Making the mistake of losing my own
But isn’t that what happens all the time,

Especially when you have no soul to keep up the fight?
