My girl,

Free as the wind,
And a flickering fire.
Beautiful as the earth,
Gentle as the water.

Who'd have thought
That girl dancing
To her own smooth solo
Would be mine?

My girl.

Who'd have thought
That amazing girl
Could teach me to dance?
Could teach me what love
really means?

She is
My girl.

I never thought
A sweet daisy
Could grow for
My rough hands
To handle.
Soft petal hands
That fit perfectly in mine.

A Beautiful girl,
She is
My girl.

Her silver laughter
Tickling my senses,
And making my heart twirl.
Her smooth voice sings
To me with the
Soothing notes
Of a hush.

In love with her,
She is my girl.

Twined in
our vines of
Love.
Sharing the same
Fluttering winged
Breath.
A little spark of flame
Resides within us.
A Gently caressing
Touch like
Smooth waters
Flows between us.

Our love is,

Free as the wind,
And a flickering fire.
Beautiful as the earth,
Gentle as the water.

What amazing music
Love's nature makes.

She loves me.
She is my girl,
And I am her's.

This one's for my girl...
And to our jazz relationship...
An inspiration to me always.

Thank you very much! I have to say though, poetry isn't usually my thing. I've been working on prose for a while, but your comment has uplifted me somewhat. I'll see if I can move the gears of my imagination to get more poetry out there. Thank you. :)

This is an amazing piece of poetry!  The words are worked together like a puzzle.  I even got butterflies reading some of the stanzas!  You're very discriptive and you have great metaphors that make the poem come to life!  You should post more poetry on here!  I normally am not a fan of poetry, but after reading this, I have to say, I'm totally estatic.  Keep writing! :)

I really like your figurative language and the way your words flow.  Nice job.
