Release
I watch as the liquid love spills down the forearm
Once ivory, now red as scarlet
Carved with care
Pooling into the shape of anger
Releasing the emotion I couldn’t say aloud
Relieving the pain I couldn’t explain
Listening as the sound of the thunder settles
Slowing down to a symphony of calm
This euphoria, getting the step closer to the machine
Separating me from my mind
The covering suffocating the love from flowing
Into the world. The world too rough for such a
Delicate love. A love not made for me.
