Mutual Respect

People hate me
Why? I don’t know
All they do is look at me
And their opinions out they throw

Their judgments are so harsh
On just the way I look
They yell at me pure ignorance
And then my feelings shook

You may not ever like me
But it’s a matter of respect
Treat them with human dignity
And they will do the same back

I'm really touched by this and I think it talks to all of us. Everyone can relate to this and it's one of the better poems I've read on teenink. Keep writing and make sure you take a look at my poems too!!
