She Will Fly

February 14, 2010
The beautiful sound of wings, sifting through a spell binding wind.
These wings did not always exist. They grew seemingly overnight
They belong to a girl who once had no hope. She was terrified.
Every day was a nightmare for her. But now, with unmistakable faith she flies in a new light.
You can still faintly see her scars, but they do not bind her to the surface of the earth.

it's beautiful :) i love in the end where it says the thing about the scars, but they "don't bind her to the surface of the Earth." (or whatever it was, i think that was close)

I like this, I really do. I hope that the wings are a metaphor for hope, because that's what I'm getting for it.

Well done.

Thanks. I wanted to change it up a bit instead of the morbid dark poems I right all the time lol

I can imagine a bird flying away from it's bonds as light as a feather. Your work is so powerful.... Every word burns with emotion. This is beautiful just the way it s.
