It's okay to be angry and never let go, it only gets harder, the more that you know. When you get lonely if no one's around, you know that I'll catch you when you're falling down. -Yellowcard

Light shooting across the sky,
Startling as it passes.
Rumble of thunder,
Sending the birds from their trees.
And once again, all is still.
All is emotionless.
All is numb.
And once again,
You need to make the journey
From the end of the storm,
Through the long, harsh year,
And return to the passion
Of the summer,
Of the lightning,
Of the terrifying cracks of thunder.
Once again,
You need to see
If you can bear the numbness
That follows you.
Once again,
You’re scared.
I’m scared.
Take my hand;
We’ll make a fire of our own
In this harsh, cold world.

I wrote a poem just like this last year, and found it in my old notebook the other day. I decided to rework it, and it came out pretty well.
