Who knew silence could suffocate
and darkness could smother

I feel trapped and alone
my only company is the nightmares I'm forced to face
Trapped between life and death
stuck forever in the middle

Hours drag past
as days stretch on for eternity

Then I'm numb
All my feelings drained out

I long for death
