"Good or evil, what's the difference? We're all fighting for what we believe in."

No bird in the trees dare sing their melodies
Twigs and leafs crunch under my feet
I can’t name the emotion that is threatening to take over me
It’s quiet here in this place, yet at the same time so loud
Is this what they call the “calm before the storm?”
Is this what it feels like?
I don’t know…
I don’t want to know…

I’m not alone here, there is one other
She looks like me, but she is different
Staying by the cliff that oddly enough always has a full moon above; raging waters below
I see her sometimes when I am here
She stares up at the moon,
As if in a trance, as if looking for something

Once I even looked her in the eyes…
Oh, those eyes…
They burned with a fire from a long held grudge,
Pain and suffering clearly written there
Behind the flesh eating flames, there was darkness…
Cold and damp…
I fear those eyes…

The author's comments:
I was inspired by, really, one of my journal entries that our school forces us to write. I never really do them, I just write little nonsence down an volla instent 100. However, I was looking for insperation and flipping through the pages randomly and leaded on the story this came from.

I think this poem shows a very personal part of me. Anyone who really knew me would know the other me is my other personality that doesn't come out much. I'm also afraid of my other personality. The forest and the cliff being my mind set.

I really don't expect anything to come from this poem... I just wanted to share it with the world, I guess.
