This is soundless outcry,
sweet rue and lament.
It knows it’s growing farther apart,
but the scarf of nostalgia flutters relentlessly.
Only its heart reaches the azure sea
and the scattered isles.
They are the memories
that are forbidden to be evoked.
It is the time of happiness:
the past that brings the regret.
What sorrow flaps its wings out
if they be looked back one knows not,
for the sickness that lies within
leads to another sickness.
Alas! It is who that tied
such desperate grief in the air,
such dire heartache
that must be endured…
