Thunder and Lightning
The flash of light, the thunder loud.
Breaks out from beneath the cloud.
The fear travels up my spine,
But the excitement it brings is so divine.
Here it is again, that flash.
The light travelling, then the crash.
Sitting awake in my bed.
Full of fear, full of dread.
The rain pouring down is a relief,
For all of us down beneath.
For it does not surprise or shock us.
As the thunder and lighting does.
