I hold my breath while waiting for you
To come and save my soul
While everyone stops and stares at how pretty she is.
I hold my breath waiting for you to notice me
And see what I’m really like
Not what others see me as.
While she holds your hand walking down the hallways
I’m looking in your deep chocolate brown eyes for your soul
To see if she is really what you want.
She has you.
I want you.
I’m still holding my breath waiting for you.
