The Rain
please cut my face
and let me bleed
just erase my place
babe we'll never succeed
leave me behind
we need to unwind
just you and me, and the things that we see
just me and you, and the things we could do
but the clouds begin to congregate
and start a moment that i hate
alone in the rain, you whisper my name
but my pain on you i blame
because things between us will never be the same
a lie that pushed our wall of steel
was a tie that you broke without knowing it was real
but in the rain
things change
and the things that remain
are rearranged
but our love was drawn in the depths of the sidewalk
yellow, blue and green all made of chalk
but the rain came and washed it away
and i was the only one who seemed to stay
why must the rain remain
and drive us insane?
