Footprints in the Snow
I tried to follow,
your footprints in the snow,
so that rather than wallow,
I could see where they would go.
I followed them through the wood,
in and out of the beaten path.
My Eyes saw nature’s inner good,
and nature’s vicious wrath.
But what surprised my Eyes the most,
was to follow your footprints through two doors,
and to leave my heart lost,
as I saw two footprints next to yours.

I can't remember where I read this but it is the truth of the matter.
