Empty shells
Your my addiction,
My sweet affliction
The one thing I've always wanted,
The only thing I'll never have.
But it isn't true
Its not really you.
You're just an idea,
Of romance-it doesnt exist.
And I'll only ever see you
The way that you see me,
Which is itself,
An impossibility.
We're all just blurry visions,
Ghosts passing by,
We can never know each other
We can't begin to try.
Left to isolated fates,
In this misery we die
Where I can never know you
And there can't be a you and I.
But who could know another
The other would betray,
And how could I endure
To watch you walk away?
