Words
Words can be dangerous
If you did not know
They can also be anonymous
Short, long, fast, or slow
They can lie, deceit, hurt, break, cheat
Or heal, cheer, comfort, greet
So choose your words and choose them wise
For the world could do without so many lies
Words have powers so use them well
For misused words belong in hell
To advise you well and advise you right
Do not use words to lie to me tonight
Do not say you love me so
Then say never mind I have to go
Three words can lift you to a great height
Then drop you fast with a terrible fright
The first word I, a letter alone
If only you could catch the false tone
Skip to the last word you, yes you
Short and simple but far from the truth
The middle word, so deadly, misleading and grim
Love, love, love her or him
Be scared of the word to use it this way
And do not use it to lead one astray
All this does is make a mess
And shatter one’s heart, once beating in their chest.
