Light and Dark
Light and Dark
The sun shining brightly
Bouncing off my hair
I look up
A smile and then my vision, gone
Deep, dark and scary
Nowhere to go but forward
Or is it backward?
What is this wretched place?
Things
Falling all around me
Swirling, tumbling
Phones, bones, and chairs
Telephones, books, and flamingos
My eyes open a crack
Bright shining light once more
I reach out hungrily
And my eyes begin to tear
Light
No more darkness
No more bad
Only good
Only light
Pure light
Pure happiness
Always and forever
I’m home
