Ode to my doll house
Always there
At the top of the stairs
Caved carefully
by Grandpa
Plastic windows
Wooden shingles
And a block for the chimney
Carved by Grandpa
I used to play with it
When I was in kindergarten
Now it just sits there
Carved by Grandpa
But without it
Life in Arizona
Wouldn't have the care and love
Carved by Grandpa
It sits empty
But it is full
But not with plastic Barbie dolls
But with love
And all of this because
That precious, beautiful doll house
Was carved by Grandpa
