In the Shower
In the shower,
on that fateful day,
when the sky was filled with clouds,
he showed up,
without making a noise;
he never was very loud.
She turned off the shower,
and stepped outside;
she hadn't bothered to grab a towel.
He coughed,
she screamed,
her face turned red,
and the dog began to howl.
As she rushed back inside,
(and he covered his eyes),
she slipped on the bathroom floor.
She couldn't believe-
of all the guys-
she had embarrassed herself even more!
Getting dressed quickly,
she stepped outside,
and saw him on his knee.
She gasped,
he smiled,
kissed her hand and asked,
"Will you marry me?"

I was inspired to write this piece by my utter annoyance with romantic comedies. Seriously, they're getting so predictable! I hope that teen readers are amused and inspired to create their own poems :) Enjoy and thank you for reading!!!!
