There I was, standing on the ledge,
Above a sea of green.
Below me stretched a vast forest
Of trees, green and brown.
The fire in the sky
Illuminated the sea below,
With its rays of golden light.
The green danced in the light,
Enjoying the warmth.
I stood there silently,
Wishing that I could join the leaves
In their merriment, but I was only
To see, never to feel.
