Change
A small girl, sweet and kind,
Her life soon t’be redefined.
Her tired brother was not the same;... See More
He would never again play those games,
He dragged and droned,
Like he’d been turned t’stone.
The little girl had lost her place;
She didn’t recognize her brother’s face,
A disease she knew, took her friend,
Cancer cells were that little girl’s end.
No more a child, and no longer small,
A broken person, heart and all,
Once so strong, now only hard,
Her life became just a shard.
That little girl had more than height;
She’d trudged through a very long fight.
A grown girl, tall and pained,
That little girl was forever changed.
