White soft clouds and somber sounds

white soft clouds,
somber sounds,
I want to cry,
and I feel I could,
but no tears come.
So I'll keep my composure,
despite now,
now that we have parted,
with sorrowful frowns,
I wont cry,
can't if I try.
No words, no sounds,
not while they need me,
not while I sit here.
not on this plane,
not when i see white soft clouds,
and not as i hear somber sounds.

The author's comments:
I wrote this on the flight back home from Scotland last year. We'd spent two weeks in the UK with my dad, who was on leave, and would have to go back to Afghanistan again while my sister mom and I would be returning home to wait several more months for his return.
