My Beautiful Enemy

If the rain's supposed to wash away your tears,
Then why can I still taste the saltiness?
If music's supposed to make me forget the memories
Then why is he stuck in all of my dreams?
The fairy tale I once hoped for died with the child in me
My golden eyes open to the realistic truths in life
There aren't such things as a perfect romance
Especially the perfect soulmate that all of us wish for on a shooting star
Though some of us learn the hard way
With our torn hearts
And our broken dreams
Yet tonight I don't want to sleep on waterfall of sheets
I'm afraid that in my dreams he'll come once again
Seeing that captivating smile hypnotize me all over again
And those eyes drawing me at a single glance
They are now the enemy
The beautiful enemy I must erase from my mind
