The beautiful feeling after writing a poem is on the whole better even than after sex, and that's saying a lot.

Because the world is paved for the lucky and
Blesséd am I to be futile,
To have in my possession this hair
This skin
This voice,
I have found my own treasures

Because my life revolves
Around school, friends and…
Starbucks,
I have had this epiphany

Because I am ignorant
Truly a fool and
Can never become an acrobat,
I have found true
Balance

Because my ancestors have suffered and
My country has been colored in red
Scouring among tangled messes of vines
Am I,
I have stumbled upon me

No longer will I search for an exit
An allegory of exclusion, instead
I will assimilate my
Treasures

My origins will clash with
These modern mechanisms
And blend into a
Harmony never seen before

Glad am I to be cataclysmic
Blesséd am I to be futile
