Pretty Lies and Alibis
as you promise,
you promise to love,
to have forever,
Your words,
I believe,
I hear you whisper,
"Be still,"
But your hands are chilling me,
down to my bones,
your caress,
is as cold as your stare,
when you whisper,
"I love you,"
into my neck,
How can I help but doubt,
For as you fill me with your love,
Your lies,
seep through your fake facade,
I try to push,
You away from me,
I still feel you,
where you shouldn't be,
and your hot and heady love,
pounds through my veins,
as hate.
