Mondays

The raindrops pound like tiny drums,
The teachers load homework;ton by ton.
How I wish this day were done!
Monday always gets me down.

My face feels like it's in a permenanet frown,
Why should I care about spainsih nouns?!
I stare out at this rain-drecnched town,
Monday always gets me down.

The pitch-black clouds refuse to fade,
In my bed is where I wish I'd stayed,
I proof-read an old poem I made,
Monday always gets me down.

Thankfully, there is a hopefully ray,
"Every cloud has a silver lining" as they say,
Monday may get me down,
But Tuesday lifts me off the ground.
