we sit like victrolas
in the hot baked soil
freckles of sun/calling hello
;anticipating
like hyphenated surnames we lag in compressed air
streaming whole notes from half loaves
"a melody softly soaring through my atmosphere"
punctuated by piercing asterisks.
latch on, pull down
we sit like victrolas
in streaming air
freckles of sand and smiling white bottled good byes
ruined stars drifting past, slowly to the watered glass hospice
;waiting
i sit in steamed mist, fogged and frosted
!dusty pages ripple under distress
salty sooty hands high five-ing the pavement
"i don't know why you say goodbye"
calling hello
;and freckles stinging goodbye.

I was inspired by ee cummings wonderfully free use of capitalization, grammar and punctuation.
