Slowly You Move
Slowly you move among the debris,
Your country has failed you,
Your family has failed you,
All that you knew,
No longer is.
You look up to see your flag,
Resting on the ground,
You look to the west,
Only to see a crumbled city that you called home,
You look to the east,
Only to see the destroyed forest.
Make peace with God,
Whatever you believe him to be,
Recognize what peace there is in silence,
Enjoy all the moments you have,
Before you loose them.
All empires fall,
And therefore no superpower can ever be forever.
You have lost the war,
You have lost friends,
Family,
And all that is good,
But remember what you had,
And remember to cry for the lost world,
As you have now been taxed,
With a suicide mission,
To save your lost country,
And all hope for a free land ounce more.
